Yesterday, I noted that my garden was wild with Mock Orange. As I sit here typing, the smell wafts in through the open windows. The scent is like orange and jasmine mixed together ~ delicious! Traditionally, this little shrub is said to speak of deceit although I prefer to think of it as mimicry. It copies the shape and scent of citrus trees with it's little white flowers and small fruits.
The Wheel has turned and today is the first day of the season of Lammas. It was a delight to share on Reflect Radio the ways in which I plan to celebrate this time of the year as we flow from the modern seasons of Summer into Autumn!
For myself, this past 24 hour period has been one of tremendous releasing. Past life issues jumped to the forefront of my mind that demanded my attention. It is at these times that I am very thankful that my work schedule is incredibly flexible. This all stemmed from a healing that I had last Friday ~ one where a past life rape was released into my consciousness.
It was necessary for me to call on some lightworker friends so that I could ask for assistance in this releasing. All I asked was for their deliberate intention and attention for sending love and light. I could feel this 'heaviness' birthing through me. Let me just say that it was NOT pleasant. Gah.
After pain and agony for 12 hours, I died. Literally. At 12.22am I passed over - only to be met by my Guides who quite swiftly kicked me back onto the physical plane. I 'came back' to my husband asking me if I was all right and a coughing fit that sent my body into spasms.
Interestingly, I have plans today to meet with a friend who is a medium/clairvoyant. When I was in the soft blackness of the 'passing', I remember giggling and thinking, "Well, I'm going to meet my friend one way or another!" I'm interested in knowing whether he 'felt' me go over last night and visit HIM!
Swiftly, I returned to the land of slumber as I wasn't scared, worried or concerned. I just knew that something had been released and I was reborn (again!). I woke this morning with a sore throat and sore diaphragm from the coughing yet the overall sense was one of peace, joy and love. I feel great! A friend saw me on webcam this morning and she told me that I was glowing. It's just how I feel. If only I could bottle it! ;)
I hope that your Lammas season is full of GENTLE releasing that manifests into a full, fruitful harvest of manifestation!
Welcome and Namaste

January 31 - When it rains, it pours
It has been five days since I was able to put pen to paper (figuratively speaking!) so that I may record the changes within our own little piece of paradise.
During these last few days, we have had nearly 800 mm (30 inches) of rain caught in our rain gauge. Wow! I was almost ready to begin building our own version of the Ark. Although, with my carpentry skills it may have been more like a tub or ended up as a single piece of floating wood!
The seed that had been sown across our lawn has probably ended up in the local river system. Our zucchini plants were unable to cope with the deluge; floating on the top of the garden beds. Most of my flowers were unable to keep their pretty heads up but the crucifix orchids are loving this weather! Their flowers have come forth with merry abandon!
Trees lost branches as they were unable to sustain the weight brought to bear on them. Leaves and twigs decorated the ground as if it was confetti after a New Year's celebration - slightly soggy but still colourful!
We are now ready to move into the season of Lammas ~ a time of harvest the first fruits. I have plans that when the sun comes back out again, I will plant new seeds of silverbeet, luffa, sunflowers, snow peas and carrots. There are pumpkins ready to harvest soon as well as chives to pick for drying.
In the meantime, I don't think I will put away the plans for the ark just yet! February, here in south-east Queensland, is supposed to be a wet one!

January 26 - Rest
Today is a public holiday - Australia Day. Historically, this day represents the time when the European settlements scattered across the land formed a united government and became a federation.
Today, I choose to honour all that have made our country great and to pray for unity, strength and community spirit. No matter your 'colour', creed or culture, if you have made your home here in Australia - Thank you. I love this land on which I live. My gift to the land was a XXXX beer (an Australian icon) and some cooked sausages (snags!) straight from the 'barbie'.
Dorothea McKellar's immortal poem of the sheer beauty and majesty of this country captures my feelings perfectly.
I hope that each of you choose to honour this land in your own way. Namaste

My Country
The love of field and coppice
Of green and shaded lanes,
Of ordered woods and gardens
Is running in your veins.
Strong love of grey-blue distance,
Brown streams and soft, dim skies
I know, but cannot share it,
My love is otherwise.
I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her terror
The wide brown land for me!
The stark white ring-barked forests,
All tragic to the moon,
The sapphire-misted mountains,
The hot gold hush of noon,
Green tangle of the brushes
Where lithe lianas coil,
And orchids deck the tree-tops,
And ferns the warm dark soil.
Core of my heart, my country!
Her pitiless blue sky,
When, sick at heart, around us
We see the cattle die
But then the grey clouds gather,
And we can bless again
The drumming of an army,
The steady soaking rain.
Core of my heart, my country!
Land of the rainbow gold,
For flood and fire and famine
She pays us back threefold.
Over the thirsty paddocks,
Watch, after many days,
The filmy veil of greenness
That thickens as we gaze ...
An opal-hearted country,
A wilful, lavish land
All you who have not loved her,
You will not understand
though Earth holds many splendours,
Wherever I may die,
I know to what brown country
My homing thoughts will fly.

January 24 - Walls that protect us
In the midst of healing sessions today, the rain bucketed down. No, that isn't correct. Torrential downpouring of heaven's waters may sound a tad more authentic! Our poor rain gauge couldn't cope with the amount of rain so it was my job (being the only one in residence at the time), to wander out into the wild wet and empty it.
Now, our rain gauge takes 25mm (or one inch) initially and then overflows. I carefully measured the entire contents to find that I filled that 25mm ten times. Wow. Goddess Mari sure knows her stuff. I thanked her for all this water but also reminded her that our tanks were now full!
Due to the heavy rain and the my solitude, my current position description at my home is: long range weather forecaster, handyman, landscaper, flood prevention officer and Emergency Control Executive. Fancy, eh?
In between the healing sessions, I cleared branches, gutters, secured odd bits and pieces lying around as well as re-creating the Great Wall of Celticai.
A year ago, our local area was inundated with water. Due to that weather, my family created the Great Wall of Celticai to stop rushing waters from flowing into our shed and damaging the contents. This involved many choice words of... err... encouragement and physical labour, Basically, we built a dam wall. It isn't very high but it was surely effective.
During the last year, we had pulled most of it down as the land had recovered, grass was once again growing on the de-nuded landscape and the weather systems much more gentle. In the falling dusk, I noted that the waters were rising towards our shed. Oh no! So, with hat on my head, shovel in hand and a small wheelbarrow, I moved all the bricks and planks back into place to protect our property.
It made me think of how we often begin, with pure intent, to protect ourselves on a daily basis. I don't mean total withdrawal here. Rather, I mean the daily choice to surround ourselves with good intention and a loving heart. After a while, we forget to put these measures into place and become complacent that all is as it should be. Suddenly, everything changes and we realise that our lack of personal protection means that we are hurt, annoyed, frustrated in the current circumstances.
A good friend recently shared with me that he starts each day by lighting incense, then a candle to help those who have passed over during the night, then has his shower to ritually cleanse his energy for the day. Such simple things to do and can easily incorporated into our daily routines.
I cleanse my working space on a regular basis - sometimes 2-3 times a day! By myself personally and my house? Usually, this is done during the changes of the Wheel of Time. So, thank you to my friend for reminding me to make daily routines such as candle lighting and hygiene practices a sacred part of everyday life. Thank you to Goddess Mari for prompting me to remember as I recreated the Great Wall of Celticai!

January 23 ~ Goldilocks heart
Have you ever sat within a crowd or at a large event and felt incredibly alone? This is usually caused by a with-holding of your heart chakra. Drawing all that projected energy inwards to protect the fundamental essence of yourself.
On the flip side, you can be in a crowd and feel overwhelmed by the immensity of energy, emotions and experiences flowing around and through you. This indicates an over-extension of the heart chakra ~ reminding me of a sea anemone with its tentacles spreading outwards so that it can catch whatever happens to be around.
Finding that balance between the two states can be tricky as it takes practice to maintain the equilibrium. Yesterday was such a day to me.. one moment, I felt alone and then I would feel swamped. Up and down like a yo-yo! Hello? Divine Healing Energy??? Help!!!
Calling the spiritual equivalent of 000 (911 for the Americans amongst us) can be as simple as dropping your head in prayer and taking a quiet moment to find the stillness within. A wise person once said: peace is not always available around you, but it is available within you at all times. However, because of our emotional state, we can also feel a little like Agent 86 from Get Smart ~ trying to dial out on the shoe phone, the fire hydrant or whatever 'gadget' is the latest invention.
Prayerful intention seems to me as the easiest way to align yourself in that state of peace; to find that state of balance within our heart. Plus it is readily available at all times! Not even costing a cent! Woot!
So, if you are like Goldilocks today, trying to find that balance of "Not too hot, not too cold, but just RIGHT" may I suggest that you take that moment and pray. Pray to whomever is your Supreme Being of Choice asking for Peaceful Love to centre and remain within you.
You can do this while washing up, taking the kids to school, lying on the sofa or wherever it is that you find yourself.
May your heart always be: just right!

January 20-22 ~ Manic Mower
New Moon and Dragon Chinese New Year blessings to you for January 23rd. This weekend has brought forward many health related issues for me.
On the plus side, it was a weekend of connection ~ I connected with many friends who felt 'led' to contact me. Truly a blessing to me! Thank you. On the flip side, it was a weekend of pushing some physical boundaries and 'reaping' the consequences.
Our lawns needed mowing as the grass was so thick from the recent rain. MOAHS and I decided that we would mow before any storms hit. With my hands on my hips, I firmly stated that I would use the hand-mower as he had a tendency to just keep going and then fall over in exhaustion. He could then us the ride-on mower and do the majority of the yard safely. That told him, didn't it!?! After half an hour pushing our lawnmower around the yard, I felt dizzy and sick to my stomach. Gah! I went to the tanks and let cold water rush over my face and head to try and cool me down. I sipped cool water for approximately twenty minutes then felt ready to do the next part of the yard. After three more rounds of twenty minutes mowing, ten minutes resting (and finishing my job), I was able to retreat to the entertainment area. I ached and heaved as the world swam before my eyes. This wasn't good.
MOAHS returned from his lawnmowing adventure (learning that one should never tussle with bougainvillea bushes), took one look at me and sent me to have a shower and a lie down. Merciful Goddess! To lie down under a fan was pure bliss. During my rest, my body flared with the auto-immune condition that plagues my physical body. Double Gah! So, I know that the next week will be one where I have to look after myself very carefully!
We did manage to plant two poinsettia bushes and another croton on the weekend. Hopefully, this will fill a 'void' in our garden. As hubby watered the vegie patch yesterday, I seeded lawns and 'bare spots'. Sending love and light and gentle rain to all of these!
Today, before I wrote this, I was researching the New Moon and Chinese New Year cycle. I came across some information stating the solar flares of the last week have been the biggest. This usually means feeling lethargic, eye problems, headaches, migraines, exhaustion and experiencing weird dreams. Ta-dah! That resonated so strongly for me.
As the cycles of the year move into the year of the Water Dragon, I've taken the time to sit and really think about what I would like in nine different areas of my life. On the 23rd, during the night, I will offer these to the the dieties of my choice with some simple words of thanks and honour.
Number 1 on the list? No more manic mowing!

January 19 - Retreat!
Sound the horns, bang the drum
the time to retreat has surely come!
Go within to know and see
What needs to grow or needs to flee
This moon today shines her light
Asks us to see with our insight
Shamanic knowing begins to grow
Meditation enhances the flow
Ask yourself: What brings you joy?
And what is merely ego's ploy?
Step forward now and gently walk
Heed the call of the Messenger Hawk.
Open your senses to learn, observe -
Heightening your self, energy and verve!

January 18 ~ Techno Fae
Confirmation is a powerful thing ~ I feel I should be singing that with an electronica beat behind it! Like Cascada (love that band!). Since last year and the flooding that occured in the local area (actually it was more like the whole of South-East Queensland), I have had significant difficulties with our internet connection.
I smudged, affirmed, consecrated and attuned our internet with so much Reiki it is a wonder it was working. I even did the practical thing (shock, horror) and had numerous tech guys come in to give their input into the 'healing'. They would shake their heads in disbelief invariably 'fix' the problem then and there. The only difficulty was that as soon as the left (or three days afterwards) the fix would stop working. ARRGH! C'mon Universe ~ the internet is the lifeline of my connection with the world as well as the core of my business.
Today, a miracle occurred. A friend directed me to a computer-ManGod (CMG) who was also Celtically inclined. I'm aware that Celtically is a new word too ~ I just created it ;) CMG had been to see my computers once before. He wanted time to ponder what was going on with it all. When he visited yesterday, he said: I think it is your modem.
Simple words. Yet so powerful. Every other darn thing had been replaced, measured, tested and modified - except the modem.
If it hadn't been for all the energy that I poured into our devices and the wonderful Techno Fae that assist with technology, I do not think we would have had internet this long. I picture these fae as having garments covered in circuitry and little lightning bolts for hair. Plus, they all tend to look like Harry Potter. *giggles*
Now, I just have to work out what I should leave for the Techno Fae in thanks. Rum and tobacco just don't seem appropriate... maybe a lightbulb???
It reminds me that we should always go for the simple solution ~ as we get more complex, we waste so much time and energy fixing the wrong turns! So here is my solution to everything: love and light!
Happy Manifesting!

January 17 continued ~ nuts
I love family dinners as I am truly blessed with a beautiful family. Once a week, the family treks out and meets at a local venue to share some love, light and laughter with each other. Even when the chips are down and we may no be feeling a 100% we still get together. Why? Because we feel the love flowing around the table and it boosts us up. A problem shared and all that, you know ;)
I looked around the table last night and had a quiet giggle to myself. There was MOAHS expounding on the virtue of Australian Beer to anyone who would listen. After a long day at work, he can still find the time to gather the clan and bring them together. He may be gruff and have strong opinions yet his heart is golden marshmallow. No wonder I chose him as my partner this lifetime.
There was One-Son ~ tall and strong in his butcher's outfit. A throwback to the days when men were as tall as mountains. We always knew that he would find something to do with knives (thank the goddess that it is productive). In vision, I often see him as a Viking ~ all he needs is a beard and fur clothing. He often bemoans the fact that he cannot grow a whisker on his face. *giggles*
Sitting next to him was his betrothed. She puts the glam in fashion and will give any drag-queen a run for their money in terms of glitz, colour and leopard print. The love in her eyes for One-Son is a pleasure to behold and we love the way she has just slid into her own special spot within the family.
Presiding over the table was my Maman. Her hearing may be going at times, but her sense of humour and enjoyment in hearing all that is happening in our lives is precious. She may be small of stature and need our help to walk up and down stairs - do not let that fool you. She's a mother bear; ready to defend her family at all costs.
Two-Son sits quietly amongst the fray. A droll comment or two will drop at the appropriate times to crack us all up! Last night's clanger was his story about being spray-tanned so badly that his feet turned to the colour of pumpkin. His twirled moustache and dapper dress sense makes him a throwback to 1940s Hollywood. He's often asked where is his penny-farthing!
All precious; all unique. There is a lot of truth in the saying: My family tree is full of nuts. We actually decided what nut we wanted to be last night. I told everyone that I wanted to be a cashew! *laughing* No particular reason ~ I just like em! What nuts fall from your family tree?

16 and 17 January ~ awe-struck
Today, I walked my garden path
Looking through eyes anew
Wondering why my bones did creak
As I grew, and grew and grew
No cathedral required for this walk
I find my inspiration here
Surrounded by simple solitude
Spirits presence is always near
The spires of trees reach to the sky
This garden bench my pew
Nature's song the heavenly choir
Spider web stained glass covered with dew
I choose to take this garden path
One foot each side of the veil
With heart focused and deepening breath
Ascension will always prevail.

January 14 & 15 ~ Wasp Waltz
The wonders of our body! Mine was informing me that rain was on the way (courtesy of Matthew pushing me off a pipe at kindergarten and breaking my wrist). Although, MOAHS (hubby) and I were really wanting a relaxing and quiet weekend, we knew that the upcoming wedding in May meant that we needed to work in the garden.
At the end of our entertainment area, we have a small feature garden. I use the word feature with some hesitation and trepidation. It has more of a tendency to be a veritable jungle where the local green snake likes to hang out. Sshh ~ that's not something I tell all our visitors! We were looking for a sense of flow and also to include colour within a native flora spectrum. (Sounds swish, eh?)
We started by pruning (decapitating) our dracena ribbon plant. It's also called Lucky Bamboo however, I believe it is not even a part of the bamboo family. I asked permission before lopping it off at midriff height. Thankfully, the energy I felt was very understanding. Then we removed a shrub that I have never been able to find out the name of it! Although covered in tiny red berries every November/December, this plant was taking over the garden. MOAHS (master of all he surveys) decided to get a crowbar, a shovel and some pure masculine grunt to remove it! Done and dusted. Woot.
My role amongst all this seemingly random devastation was to wo-man the mulcher. The Dracena made the most awesome multi-coloured mulch which we returned to the earth in this section of the garden. We've left a hole where the mystery shrub had been. This is to be filled with one or two crotons. Although not native, they grow extremely well in our garden + the MOAHS loves them and so do the local fauna. We've picked out two crotons from our garden that were not in ideal growing conditions. Next weekend's task is to move them from their existing spot into the feature garden.
We could see the rain clouds building during the day and our efforts became much more frantic as the afternoon progressed. MOAHS was digging up the mystery shrub when he gave quite a startled yelp. From the mulcher, I could see from the corner of my eye that he was doing a masculine version of my beastie dance. He is quite graceful and flexible. *giggling* Yep, hubby had managed to find a paper wasp nest and was being stung. I know, not a laughing matter! As he swung from side to side and then dashed off to the entertainment area to find his Wasp Whacking Whacker, I moved away from the area just in case.
That was the worst decision of the day. I found another paper wasp nest near our shed. The cousins of the wasps currently being whacked in yonder garden decided to take action on behalf of their cousins. Yikes! I ran as fast as I could into the relative safety of the entertainment area while yelling out comments such as: Argh! Don't squash them! One's flying above.. behind.. around.. Holy Toledo, they're everywhere! Run, Hubby Run.
Finally, the garden was safe for us to go back in and finish our jobs. I pondered the significance of all these wasps. As a power animal, Wasp Energy helps us find organized focus, and assistance with communicating assertively. As master builders, wasp energy also guides us with projects we have in mind.
January 12 ~ Was blind, now I see
On Facebook recently, I shared that my new glasses irked me. No, they really cheesed me off. The lenses did not help me to see. Instead, I felt that everything was slightly blurry and 'off'. My ears were rubbed raw and the bridge of my nose looked like hubby had thrown a swift punch sometime during the last week. Not quite the look of beauty that I was searching for!
Finally, I was able to go to the Optometrist to have this problem fixed actually, I told him that I was there to have a pleasant whinge. *giggles* No problems, the cheerful gentleman replied, I can see that your glasses are sitting too low and that the bridge needs widening. He took the glasses from me and tweaked them. After cleaning the lenses, he placed them back on my face.
Oh, my Goddess Danu! Woot! I could see! Hallelujah! I did an impromptu version of Amazing Grace (calypso style) right there in the shop. At least I amused the clientele and staff of the store. My best friend just clapped along with the beat! (That's one of the reasons I love her to bits. She lets me be crazy every now and then.)
Such a simple thing to change and it brought my focus back to crystal clear. Of course, it reminded me that we sometimes lose our focus. We can still 'see' but unbeknownst to us, we are just a little 'off'. Meditating, relaxing, connecting with nature are all ways that we can help ourselves keep focused.
So, if you are ready, repeat after me: I see. I hear. I feel. I know. I understand!
The hot weather has cooled after two days... now I'm waiting to see what manifests out of that baking session! *grin*
See you next week.

January 11 ~ Game of Life
I wrote yesterday about the fog and wondering what gift would be revealed during the day. The gift that I saw was a deepening of knowledge as I wrote energetic forecasts for people. As I glanced around or took a small break from connecting with Source and writing my perceptions, I kept seeing the numbers 227. Okay, once is random, twice is a co-incidence, three times is a God-cidence! So what did they mean? I grabbed my copy of Doreen Virtue's Angel Numbers Book. According to Doreen, my Angels were basically forming a Cheer Squad on the sidelines, yelling out "Go, Celticai, Go!" Yay! *shake pom poms*
No matter the reading or healing session that I am completing, there is always something in the messages received for me. It may be a gentle nudge or a swift kick in the rear end. Either way, no session is without mutual benefits. I did wonder though why our Guides are becoming more insistent, persistent and sometimes downright cranky with us. Hey.. I thought it was all love and light???
As I watered the garden in the magical time of twilight, I received a little 'video' that I would like to share with you.
An umpire stood before me with the word Source on his shirt. He had a whistle, coloured flags and something that could only be described as a poker. He gestured behind him and there was a huge playing field. I giggled as I saw that all the players were young children. The Ump (I'm using male gender for ease of grammatical accuracy although the Ump was actually non-gender!) turned back to me and sort of rolled his eyes as if to say, well, this is what I work with on a daily basis. A scoreboard read Ascension and Stagnation with numbers quickly running back and forth across them.
As I looked onto the field, each of the 'children' were playing different sports - tennis, chess, soccer, darts, skiing. You name it and the sport/activity was there! Some children were just sitting on the field contemplating their belly button, some were playing in the mud, some stood looking around as if to say "where's the ball?". Other children were trying to organise themselves into some sort of team and actually playing a game.
On the sidelines, figures were cheering and encouraging the players to Ascend. So many players were oblivious to their surroundings and the cheering from the sidelines. The Ump shrugged his shoulders and said that this was okay. The Game of Life has no set rules.. only to ascend. How you get there and how you play the game is up to you. He said: I'm here to fly the flag and give you direction, prod you along when you are stagnant for too long, blow the whistle when you try to wander off the field inappropriately but most importantly, I'm here to encourage you. When you choose to enter the Game (and everyone does) you can choose which team, which sport and what type of personality you want to display.
It reminded me strongly of trying to teach my Preschool class how to play cricket once. In the end, I threw out the rule book and said, throw the ball, hit the ball, play nicely but most of all have FUN!
I like that lesson!

January 10 ~ Let 'er rip!
Phew! That energy of the Full Moon has waxed and now is settling into something interesting. I love that word! To find things interesting implies that an open-mindedness, a willingness to explore and boldly go forth into new territory with a courageous heart. Oooh.. I feel all Star-Trekkin'!
The computers continued to play up and I wondered what had happened. I affirmed: The energies of the computer, the internet and I are safely balanced and protected as we work harmoniously together. Hmm.. that didn't work! I ended up broadcasting on Reflect Radio through my desktop and the ancient microphone that I found located at the back of a dark and dusty cupboard. Interesting!
As I worked with a client during the afternoon, I was shown an image of a silver cord perfectly wrapped around the chakras. The end of this cord extended through the crown chakra. I was asked to 'pull-start' the chakras during the holistic healing. Not only did I feel that this started something magical in manifestation for the client, I felt that energy move through my own body as well. Interesting!
On your mark! Get Set! Go!
My youngest stepson arrived home from work Of course, he didn't handle the withdrawal from the internet very well at all. He was on the phone to our internet provider faster than you could say 'connect'. Through the wonders of technology, we discovered that our modem had reset itself and wouldn't allow multiple devices to run through it! Hmmm...
I like that analogy ~ I feel we are all being reset this year to allow multiple dimensions of energy to run through our bodies; integrating to become whole. So, starting our engines and increasing the 'revs' will help our vibration to let rip! Woot!
I'll take just a moment to blog ahead of myself as well.. our household awoke this morning to an environment covered in a pea-soup fog. Oh WOW! I love fog! Why? Because it resonates with lifetimes past spent on mist-covered mountains. It also makes me think of a present. The fog is the Earth's way of saying: Look beneath the layers, as my sunshine slowly reveals what lies beneath, it is a magical moment of manifestation. I am so looking forward to seeing what manifests!

January 9 - Cancer Full Moon
Well, that was a doozy of a day! What else is possible? The energies were quite intense and I felt almost wiped out. Instead of flowing through work, I was feeling quite 'bogged' down. Did you feel the same?
What I chose to do, rather than pushing through that quagmire energy, was to rest and recharge. I gave myself permission to reschedule readings and healings till tomorrow so that I could focus on myself. I'm so glad that I did. I felt much better about myself too! I had a 'Caithe-nap' and then spent time in my garden.
All the crystals sat out on the brick wall soaking up the gorgeous South-east Queensland heat. What a gloriously HOT summer's day (says she as she spent most of it in the air-conditioning), The two hours that I did spend outside were in conjunction with the zenith of the full moon, placing my crystals outside.
When I was finished with that task, I thought: Hmm Cancer energies need water. So I hooked up our pump to our water tanks, ready to water the garden and water the crystals too. As I turned on the hose, the skies opened in a heavy sun-shower! AWESOME! I still watered though as I felt that the rain basically evaporated as soon as it hit the earth.
After dinner and connecting with family, I attempted to open a joint page ~ Chakra PowerUps with my friend, Lorrae. *laughing* Facebook was NOT happy. It was definitely responding to the lunar energies. In the end, we had to close the page and begin again. So, if you are on Facebook, look us up ~ Celticai Chakra PowerUps! *hugs*
Full Moon Blessings.

January 8 ~ Rhythm of Life
Remember the song: The Rhythm of Life? I spent most of the weekend humming it. My habit of humming can be quite disconcerting especially when I am supposed to be playing a slow song with our Celtic Fusion pipe band ~ the Clan. (that's definitely spelled with a 'c' not a 'k'). We spend 6 hours once a month to rehearse our tunes and then, after all the hard work, like typical Celts we party hard. Okay, I'll amend that, the boys in the band party hard. I tend to fade out at my normal sleep time so that I can drift away into the Land of Nod with the skirl of the pipes reverberating in my head.
Have you ever attended a Highland Gathering? Bagpipes were officially registered as instruments of war sometime in the 1700s. To carry them was an expression of intent i.e. you were going to slaughter someone or someone's property. I know that there are many who do not like the pipes. I personally feel that this is because sometime in their past, they were attacked by rampaging Scots/Celts as they played these instruments.
In the hands of a novice, the Bagpipes can indeed be treacherous to the health of your eardrums. For me, when bagpipes are played well and with expression, they bring a tear to the eye, a lump to the throat and a yearning for 'home'. After a day of rehearsals or having attended a Highland Gathering, I can hear the tunes echoing in my eardrums for days afterwards. It sounds as if I'm standing in a mist-covered valley and the sound is reverberating through the mountains around me. No wonder I love these instruments and the group of people that I am honoured to join in the co-creation of music.
After the rehearsal, the party begins (the Scots call it a ceilidh) ~ good food, lots of alcohol and rousing renditions of whatever tune happens to take our fancy accompanied by pipes, bodhrans, drums, keyboard, guitars etc etc. I cannot think of a better way to connect with heritage and friends than these party nights.
Of course, on this day, we are recuperating from the rehearsal and party ~ cleaning up, resting our weary bones and a wee bit of smudging to remove anyone's energy that may still be hanging around *grinning*. I'm especially focusing on the brick wall on our property that I use to cleanse my crystals. The Full Moon is happening at 5.30pm on Monday night (Brisbane Time) ~ I want to ensure that the space is clean, cleared and ready to hold my crystals in the beauty of the Goddess Light.

January 6 ~ Space
MOAHS is a hoarder. Let's put it out there, plain and simple. He is a true throw-back to the days when you collected everything because you just couldn't pop down to the shop to get what you want. I have a tendency to threaten his precious collections with an application of napalm. I also bemoan the fact that our residence and yard are crowded with 'stuff' (you can substitute appropriate words).
Yesterday, I said.. okay, enough paddling upstream with these thoughts of mine. "What else is possible? Space is my friend. Time is my friend. Abundance and I are in alignment." Then I waited to see what happened.. *giggles*
First, a friend came over and collected lots of plastic pots from our backyard. yay! Then, I needed a break from writing energetic forecasts so I cleaned up and sorted one corner of our outdoor area. Double yay! At dinner that night, our youngest announced that he was moving out with friends at the end of month... Muted yay! Well, I did ask for our space back! *laughing*
The classic de-clutter line is: Do I NEED this? MOAHS always answers yes! *sigh* It's at times like that when I don my MOASS (Mistress of all SHE surveys) and squirrel things into the bin, the shredder or the local dump.
It looks like I'll have a huge de-cluttering and re-organising time at the end of the month.. perfect for the turning of the cycles of the Wheel of Life. Woot! What will I need? Better make a list: backhoe, mini-skip, anti-nuclear protection suit, shovel..............

January 5 ~ More
My simple wish for New Years was encapsulated in the word: MORE. On this 5th day of the New Year, I would like to express my gratitude for the bounty of the Universe. THANK YOU!
I received an email yesterday from a friend. Now, this friend is a Numerologist and they had calculated my Personal Year Number. I won't try to explain how that is worked out. I've never had a brain switched on for numbers. Anyhoo, the number is 9. What does that mean? This is a year for rewards and for completion. It is the end of a cycle for me ~ where much will be removed and much will be gained. Think of it as the Mardi Gras of a 9 year cycle. Next year will be a one ~ lots of new beginnings. Woot! I'm happy about that! As I read through the short paragraph, I just kept saying: Thank you. It's such a beautiful expression!
Whenever I think of words of gratitude, my mind invariably wanders back to the work of Masuro Emoto (my spelling may not be quite right there!). He is a leader in the field of water healing. He found that water, no matter how polluted, stagnant, corrupted, can be healed through expression of gratitude : word, thought, intention, music, poetry. It doesn't matter how it is expressed it will work over time. I have Reiki symbols of healing and connection over all my water bottles. Simple stuff! It is my way of saying thank you to the fundamental element that makes up over 80% of our body! That means that every time I say thank you to the water for giving me life, I basically am I saying thank you to ME! Gotta love that!
If you would like to learn a little about his work: you can watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4tZhMED-4M or visit his website: http://www.masaru-emoto.net/english/e_ome_home.html

January 4 ~ What you ask for!
We all know that the Universe/Supreme-Being-Of-Choice works in mysterious ways. My friend, Lee-Anne Peters (www.templeofbalance.com) and Shelli Speaks (www.shellispeaks.com), have shared how the energetic manifestation process is speeding up. I know that I see evidence of this on a daily basis.
Yesterday, my broadcast on Reflect Radio had the intention of giving people the purpose of creating a Manifestation Mandala for 2012. I don't know if anyone else enjoyed the broadcast but as I created my own while listening to the songs played, I thought about what it was I really wanted.. what would make me happy? What else is possible in my life? Here is my finished product which now proudly resides as my desktop background:

A couple of items on this mandala (and yes, I'm aware it isn't your typical round mandala! lol) was 1) make time my friend and 2) increase my wellness activities consciously. These had been on my mind before Christmas, so my rockets of intention had been speeding out into the Universe for a few days! Yesterday, I was released from an obligation which I felt had not been serving its original intention. I had been working my way to saying this to a friend and found that they felt the same way! Awesome! Yay for manifestation!
Then when the MOAHS came home from work, he walked in the door and said: Get your walking shoes, Woman, we're going for a walk. Many may take umbrage at the fact that he calls me Woman, personally it doesn't bother me. I call him Man so we are even! ;) It was our first walk for 2012 ~ taking us down to the local watercourse and the walking paths available there. Have I mentioned that we live at the base of a mountain range? A walk from our house is no mere amble, although pleasant. There are beautiful stretches of pathway that gently undulate across the landscape. Then, suddenly, you are faced with the walking equivalent of an 18 degree slope. I think I need to get new walking shoes ~ ones with gears for going up slopes! *laughing* We only walk for half an hour but it was such a beautiful time of day.
Along the watercourse pathway, we came across one of the local inhabitants, a dusky moorhen. I watched this bird swim across the water, ducking under occasionally for some tasty morsel of food. It reminded me of the spiritual path ~ we can look like we are just gently gliding along the ascension path to others, but little do they realise that underneath the surface, we are battling with our thoughts and our actions on a continual basis. We are constantly aware of keeping ourselves in alignment with our Higher Self. Still, we have a tendency to dip down into the darker aspects of ego but realise that it is much better to be upright in the light.

January 3 - Expectations
There is a lot of discussion about expectations recently. Almost gaining the status of a 'dirty word' in some circles. At the moment, my current take on the vibration of the word expectation is just that: vibration. From the wonderful works of people such as Esther and Jerry Hicks' Abraham, we have learnt about the Laws of Attraction, Creation and Allowing.
For awhile there, I was mightily confused. One minute, I was told to affirm what I wanted in life and then told to release all expectations in regards to that affirmation. Ay Carumba! My poor brain whirled in frustration in trying to deal with two conflicting statements. At least, that is how I was interpreting them.
This conundrum raised its head again yesterday. Fortunately, I had time to sit and meditate with this and to ask for clarification. I have a Star Guide named Brolin. He came to me a few months back to help me with my healing work and to help my connection with Spirit. I like him. He has a great sense of humour that aligns with mine so I understand him very well. Brolin showed me a river with a rock in the middle of it. Pretty, but what does that have to do with anything? This is his explanation:
What does the rock expect? It expects to be heavy and it expects the water to course over it and around it. Some days, the river will seem harsh while at other times, it will be gentle. No matter the day or hour, the water will be there. That is the expectation. The rock also expects the sun to shine each day and the sky to darken to night in a cycle of life. The seasons will be cycle through as well. These are all intrinsic expectations.
You have the same intrinsic expectations : the sun will rise and set, the seasons will cycle through their year, you will age and cycle through your lifespan as well. These are intrinsic expectations. Why say that you expect nothing? Does this mean that you want nothing? No, Celtic One, you want much and you want more. So, express that expectation but release the 'how' of the expectation. That way, the miracles of the Universe will unfold in front of you like a river of blessing.
On the 4th January, I'll be broadcasting on Reflect Radio to share a Manifestation Mandala exercise ready to release those expectations and the river of blessing for 2012. Hope you can join me! Here is the link: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/reflectradio/2012/01/04/celticai-studio-manifest-2012

January 2 ~ Labour of Love
Hello World! It's a wonderful start to 2012 in my slice of the Earth. My husband decided that his holidays should be spent working in our yard. "Wonderful," I replied. I dashed off into the nether regions of our household to retrieve the list of things that needed fixing, replacing, building or creating. Unfortunately, He That is the Man (MOAHS - Master of all He Surveys) had his own list. So, I carefully folded up the two-kilometre long list and tucked it away back in the cupboard for another day.
First item on this list was some plumbing and building jobs. Excellent! We now proudly have a tap into our water tanks so that I may water the vegetable patch more easily and a roof over a walkway between the house and the shed. My applause and delight happened to scare a few birds away from the garden (hopefully, they will come back).
Then, onto item number 2 - pruning. OH NO! "Honey, I think we should have lunch before we begin?" He agreed. Phew. After a quick collation of cold meat and salad, I organised MOAHS to get the gardening tools together. Now, you may be thinking that I am indeed a wifely sort of wife to provide for my MOAHS in such a way. Let me disabuse you of that notion. It was in fact a very stealthy way of having time to do a very important job: The formation of my Fey-Appeasement Pack ~ tobacco, a flask of rum and some staurolite crystals.
MOAHS has a habit of decimating the garden. Give him a chainsaw, pruning saw, secateurs and a ladder and I will give you a garden that looks like a plague of locusts, goats and caterpillars have been through the yard. This was going to be an interesting day and a half indeed.
As he hacked and decimated so many of the trees and shrubs, he cheerfully yelled out "Timber!" and "Oops.. I'm sure that will grow back, honey" as well as singing I'm a lumberjack and I'm Okay. Meanwhile, I quietly spoke to the spirit of the land, to the Fey, to the animals and insects ~ "get out of the way... I'm REALLY sorry about this. I hope you'll forgive me. Here is my offering back to the Earth... etc etc" I sprinkled tobacco, rum and crystals in the aftermath of the destruction known as Cyclone MOAHS.
At the end of two days, our garden looks rather naked. Having said that, the feeling of the garden is one of a huge sigh of relief. They know it will be another 6 months before he feels the need to go all Conan on the trees again. The offerings appear to have been well-received although I was NOT happy to find the biggest golden orb spider I have ever seen crawling along my neck. That was the best Beastie Dance I have ever done ~ it even made the Dinosaur (water dragon) pause in his nibbling of our mulch pile. "Silly Human", he said while he watched me scramble, fling and dance around like a Thunderbird on Acid.
I also had the opportunity to observe the beautiful flowers that have blossomed during the last few days: candy-pink hibiscus, purple and white Francescas, Star Jasmine, delicate dwarf agapanthus as well as a the vibrant and happy citrus coloured gerberas.
The garden may be naked in terms of foliage and height but the tone is one of delight. Just like Summer, our garden is revelling in the child-likeness of being 'naked' and playfully romping in the sun.
